If you haven't been to Lake Powell, picture Bryce or Zions Canyon with a lake all around it. It really is quite spectacular, something that should be considered one of the wonders of the world in my opinion. It was our first visit there and we had such an amazing time with 2 families we were friends with in dental school. We shared a houseboat, all 19 of us. We fished, surfed, ate a ton, paddle boarded, played games, jet skied, talked, went tubing, went cliff diving (at least some of us), and laughed. The days were long and the nights began as soon as our heads hit the pillow--and we slept the kind of sleep where you wake up and for an instant, you wonder what time of day it is and where you are. It was so fun to see the friends we made when we were just starting out as a family. Those years in Kentucky were the best years of my life, and these were some of the people we shared those years with.

SPECTACULAR pictures!!!! My gosh! It's soooo beautiful there, and I'm SO jealous!! I have never been! I am just floored by the scenery. Your kids are so darling, cute Madison and her big smile while surfing is priceless! And-- your swimming suit is INCREDIBLE! Color, style, everything. Love! Glad you guys had such a great time! So fun!
I was in awe the whole time-the majesty and beauty was astounding. How is it that I had never been to Lake Powell before? it was also so fun to reconnect with friends of the past. What's neat is how easy it was to pick up where we left off 11 years ago. What a blast!
what a stunning place! i feel jipped that i've never gone! those pictures are awesome and i'm glad you guys had fun! jazzy thought she was at a therapeutic retreat when she was at my house. she made herself at home and lounged around on the couch and insisted upon sleeping at the foot of my bed next to gidget, but not too close to her because they like their space. and of course she put buddy in his place a few times too, which really amused me. i love when that happens!
