OREGON. In Pictures.

Blanketed in moss

Yaquina Head Lighthouse

Ran across this cool makeshift shelter on the beach

Haceta Head Lighthouse

Cannon Beach, Haystack Rock

I had never seen a beach like this--large stones of volcanic rock,
millions of years in the making

Handsome Robert

Loved this quaint, old house we discovered on our drive

A covered bridge we had to get out and explore

See the raindrop?

I love the feeling this picture invokes.

Low tide

The house we lived in when we lived in Seaside

This is taken in the forest in our backyard
from when we lived there.

Ghostly looking moss flowed from these trees

The waves were massive and vicious--probably after-effects of the tsunami

This was taken from our hotel room deck.

Spectacular

Seriously windblown.  This is how many of the trees grew.

I could post so many more, having taken close to 600 pictures on our Oregon adventure.  It was incredibly peaceful and a true testament of God's love for us in creating such beauty.

Those pictures helped me feel peace in an otherwise sad and stressful day. I have picked out a couple of your pictures that I want to enlarge. Thank you, Sandy!

One of the best trips ever--so beautiful and relaxing. Husbands take your wives on a romantic quiet getaway adventure. Explore somewhere new (and not just another beach). Renew your love for each other. It's amazing what a little time away from the kiddos will do to refresh and revitalize your relationship with your love!

Sandy,

Just when I think you can't have any more talent, you do it again. I can't possibly pick ONE favorite, but some of my favorites were the one overlooking the lighthouse that seemed like it was from inside of a cave because there was cave rock along the perimeter of the photo, and also the one on the pebble beach, black and white, with the birds circling overhead. I could stare at that picture and analyze it for days. You need to start putting a watermark on your pictures. They are good enough that people will start stealing them and trying to make them their own unfortunately. Seriously!!! You need to give yourself the credit too! You are THAT amazing!!! What an enchanted and romantic place to visit. You house back in Seaside was so gorgeous, it looks like time just goes slower around there. I wish Utah looked like that.

That has been the next place I want to go for a get-away with Mike for sometime now. When we're ready to plan it, I'll have to get some location details from you! Glad you had a great trip. You deserve it.

What joy and peace. How nice to return to visit where you once lived. It doesn't matter whether you are there for a year or a life time, the impressions left are made up of many memorable moments shared with another or alone with God and His creations. Your camera has captured a glimpse of what's stored in your mind and your heart. Thanks for sharing your talent and your journey.
